The use of low antimony lead alloy formula and high technology casting process for the positive spine combined with the special non-woven gauntlets and specially formulated active material produce batteries that withstand heavy duty cyclic operations with long service life of 8-10 years.

Negative Plate

The negative plates are cast in antimony grid, and pasted with lead oxide using state of the art MAC (US) pasting machine which ensure uniform density and texture. This helps to enhance the longevity of the battery.

Separators

DARAK-5000 microporous duroplastic separator. It has high temperature stability, mechanical strength, low electrical resistance, high porosity and low acid displacement which makes it very efficient.

PLANTE Positive Plate

The reliability and long life characteristics of the Plante battery lie in its positive plates being :
The Positive Plate is casted with 99.99% pure lead, which helps to prevent corrosion and reduces the topping-up frequency significantly, thus less maintenance.
The grid thickness is over 8mm, which gives the Plante battery the highest longevity among all other batteries.
Its lamellar grid design give its apparent surface area 12 times its size, resulting in its high discharge performance.
The active material on the Positive Plates are self-generated, and re-generated throughout its lifetime, thus, there is no loss in capacity, and always remain at 100% capacity, unlike the rest of the industrial batteries whose end of life capacity degrade to 80%.

Bar Guard

This rubber material helps to safe guard against any debris discharge from the scaling of the group bar, and this debris deposit can be taken out or flushed put during routine maintenance with a suction pump.

Cell Container

The cell container is made from the Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) material, and it is fully transparent, thus, it gives the advantage of the visual aid to detect early sign of problem.

Recombination Vent Plug

The cylindrical design recombination element in the plug is filled with catalytic element and absorption deposit. During charging of the battery, oxygen and hydrogen gases will evolve. As these gases pass through the adsorption deposit, the catalytic element within the deposit will get heated up, thus, causes condensation on the inner plastic wall of the Recombination Vent Plug. This droplet of water will then trickle back into the cell, thus, it can help extend the topping up period by at least 5 to 10 years.

Encapsulated Pillar

The pillar is specially constructed using an injection moulded polymer encapsulation around it. The ribbed design of the pillar at the point of the scaling totally eliminate the Crevice Corrosion cause by acid seepage between the rubber gasket and post pillar.

Pillar Sleeving

The pillar sleeving helps to encompass any scaling debris from falling off the pillar, which may cause shorting of the group bars or plates, thus, its preventive measure promotes longevity of the cell.

Gauntlets & Active Materials

The special non woven gauntlets have a unique structure that enable the electrolyte to penetrate more freely while FURTHER reducing the shedding of the active material. This combination of the gauntlets and the specially formulated active material enhances the cycle life of the battery. The Gauntlets diameter is more than 8 mm thick so that it will give a longer life to the battery and deep discharge features.

Positive Spine

The backbone of the plate. Cast at an incredibly high 100 bar pressure, the special low antimony (1.6%-2.5%) alloy spine is very durable with an extremely low resistance, while having very low maintenance features. This is achieved by using the high technology HADI equipment from Austria. This technology ensures uniform grain orientation and reduced voids for better electrical performance.

Connector / Fastener

The global quality insulted connector protect it from acid attack. The insulation protects operators from electric shocks. Maintains close contact between the terminals for better conductivity, avoiding DC shorts.

Cell Container

The cell container is made from the Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) material, and its transparency allows easy visual inspection.

Valve (One way valve)

The valve is comprised of a one-way valve made of material such as neoprene. When gas is generated in the battery under extreme overcharge condition due to erroneous charging, charger malfunctions or other abnormalities, the vent valve opens to release excessive pressure in the battery and maintain the gas pressure within specific range (7.1 to 43.6 kPa.). During ordinary use of the battery, the vent valve is closed to shut out outside air and prevent oxygen in the air from reacting with active material in the negative electrodes.

Negative Plate

It is a Lead-tin-calcium alloy grid with a thickness of at least 2.3mm, and filled with spongy lead as its active materials that ensure optimum discharge performance, and long service life.

AGM Separators

Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) separator that is used to retain the acid electrolyte or the Gel acid catalyse, and it provides longevity in the battery life through minimal ions loses.

Positive and Negative Electrodes Terminals

Positive and negative electrodes terminals may be faston tab type, bolt fastening type, threaded post type, or lead wire type, depending on the type of the battery. Sealing of the terminal is achieved by a structure which secures long adhesive-embedded paths and by the adoption of strong epoxy adhesives.

Battery Case Materials

Material of CHLORIDE Powersafe AGM Battery Series case is ABS resins. UL94 V0 frame retardant aterial case is optional.

Positive Plate

Radial design lead-tin-calcium alloy grid with a thickness of 3.2mm to 3.6mm, and it’s filled with porous lead dioxide as its active materials that able to deliver the optimum discharge performance.

Freewheeling Diode

Preventing accidental reverse polarity from the battery connection to the Thyristor. Certified under IEC 60747-1 to 15; IEC 60664 & Din EN 50178 In.

Solid State Thyrlstor Module

A high class Switching device which convert AC power to DC power through the control of Chloride Controller Card. Certified under IEC 60747-1.

Capacitor

Working together with the choke to form a L-C filtering circuit to reduce noise on the DC output line. Certified under JIS C5101-4.

Battery Load / Breaker

MCCB breaker for Battery protection. Certified under IEC 60947-2 : 10KA.

Choke

Working together with the Capacitors to form a L-C filtering circuit to reduce noise along the DC output line. Certified under IEC 60076.

Main Transformer

3-phase transformer for stepping down the input voltage to the charger rating nominal voltage. Certified under IEC 60076.

Dropping Diode

Reduces the DC output voltage to the load voltage tolerance level Certified under IEC 60747-1 to 15; IEC 60664 & Din EN 50178.

Charger AC Input Breaker and Surge Suppressor

AC Input MCB meant for the protection of the charger equipment from any inrush current or surges from the Mains during Power On. Certified under IEC 60947-2:10KA

The Surge Suppressor is meant for protecting the charger component against any transient or lightning strike via the DC output line.

Charger Controller Card

The heart of the charger operation, which control the firing circuit of the Thyristors, the Float & Boost voltage settings, Alarm settings, Current Limit setting, Alarm Monitoring, etc.

External Alarm Cards

Additional dry contact alarm card mean for individual alarm monitoring.

Microporous polyethylene separators from the global sources which has excellent oxidation and puncture resistance. Its low iconic resistance ensures higher battery power throughout its life.
